Wreck This Journal

Like I said, I would be late. Here's what I did last week. I enjoyed a relaxing Gulf Shores vacation at Fort Morgan and I gathered shells and seaweed, see below...... Seaweed and tiny flowers added last week

I did a 5 minute document of my time passing in the car along the way to my vacation destination. Each minute I wrote down what was going on. It's funny to read now.

I tried infusing my lemon thyme. As the stem dried the lemon smell is gone. I tried reeeeally rubbing the leaves into the paper but the lemon smell didn't stay. Oh well, I'll try with something else!

The beginning of filling the circles page.

I thought I would get to do more, but I spent a lot of time on the beach and I did some sketching. So this week I will get to do more now that I'm home and back into the swing of my routine again....

It's amazing how long each page can actually take, isn't it? Anyway, you got some interesting seaweed for your journal, as well as vacation.

You wrote - "I spent alot of time on the beach..." - welllllll, I KNOW Jamie's vlog this week kind of put the kabosh on comparison, but I wish I had YOUR excuse.

-fantacizing about the feel of wet sand beneath my feet and the scent of salt air....

So glad you enjoyed the beach!! I wonder if a lemon would infuse enough of a smell into the pages. I think I'm going to try that!! Thank you!

Your time passed slowly (with just two "time passing" entries for a whole vacation) and isn't that the point of getting away? Those mixed bubble circles remind me of the bubbles at the edge of the waves as they roll up the beach and then stop and then recede as if drawn smoothly back by an unseen hand. Ahhh thank you for taking me to the beach through your journal! LOL
WRECK ON!!!!!
ps lemon thyme is a wonderfully rich scent, maybe a drop of lemon oil?

oh dear looks like I lost my note. Anyhoo, your book reminds me of vacation -- just two entries for time passing because vacation time is slooooow time, and the bubble circles remind me of hte bubbles at the tip of a wave coming in and then receding on the beach. Maybe a drop of lemon oil would help with the lemonthyme scent? Keep on Wrecking!!!!
